Equine Assisted Learning at Rock Ranch is an educational approach that incorporates equine facilitated activities using the experience of equine/human interaction in an environment of learning and self-discovery. Equine Assisted learning can be used as a physical, occupational, and speech-language therapy treatment strategy that utilizes the dynamic movement of the horse to achieve therapeutic goals alongside learning.

This is a type of treatment that is effective because the gentle, rhythmic movement of the horse simulates human walking. Currently, Rock Ranch is offering sessions that include both physical and mental challenges of working one on one with gentle giants. Individuals of all ages and abilities can benefit from this fun style of learning by picking up a new set of skills.

Equine Assisted Learning at Rock Ranch is designed to teach horsemanship and riding skills to individuals with all dissimilar needs, abilities and strives, with the goal of increasing functional life skills and self-esteem. Lessons are taught by our team and riding instructors with years of experience and equine knowledge fostering connections with horses to promote learning among a range of students through equine-assisted learning.

Participants have experienced physical improvements in muscular, speech, vision, and coordination. Along with a new comprehension of cognitive, social, behavioral, and emotional skills.
